Your privacy matters to us. MECULS collects only the information necessary to provide our services. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Where we do share – for example, when you use the Ikshu CV Portal’s connection service – we do so only with your explicit consent and only for the purposes you have agreed to.
1. Who We Are
MECULS is operated by Rajneesh Jain, based in Delhi, India. We provide leadership coaching, wellness counselling, meditation instruction, executive search, and the Ikshu CV Portal – a recruitment portal that connects professionals with each other and with hiring teams – through meculs.com and its sub-services.
For all privacy-related queries, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@meculs.com. Until that mailbox is active, please write to Jain.Rajneesh@meculs.com.
2. Legal Framework
This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India and the Information Technology Act, 2000 read with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
Under the DPDP Act:
- You – the person whose personal data is being processed – are the Data Principal.
- MECULS – which determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data – is the Data Fiduciary.
- We process your personal data only for specified, lawful purposes and only with your consent (or where another lawful basis applies under the Act).
3. Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it directly – for example, when you contact us, book a session, or register for the Ikshu CV Portal.
- Contact information – name, email address, phone number (where provided)
- Enquiry content – the content of messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, or website forms
- Session-related information – notes relevant to delivering coaching, counselling, or meditation sessions (kept strictly confidential, see Section 5)
- Payment information – processed via Razorpay, PayUBiz, or PayPal; we do not store card details on our servers
- Ikshu CV Portal data – profile information you enter into the CV Portal, including educational history, work experience, skills, certifications, languages, preferences, photo, and CV file. See Section 4 for details on how this data is used.
- Website usage data – standard server logs and analytics (pages visited, time spent, browser type); no personally identifying information is captured in this way
4. The Ikshu CV Portal — What We Collect and Why
The Ikshu CV Portal is a free service that lets you build a professional profile and, with your consent, be connected with other professionals. When you register for the Ikshu CV Portal, we collect five distinct consents from you, two required and three optional:
Required consents (you cannot register without these):
- Terms & Privacy acceptance – confirms you have read and agreed to these documents.
- Age confirmation – confirms you are 18 years or older. The Ikshu CV Portal is not available to anyone under 18.
Optional consents (you decide whether to grant these):
- Email-share consent (the Connection Service) – if you grant this, we may share your email address with up to 10 other professionals from our network – up to 5 at a similar professional level to you, and up to 5 at a level senior to you. This is a goodwill exchange, not a guarantee. Matches depend on who is in our network at the time of your request, their consent to be contacted, and our judgement of relevance. No money is exchanged. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
- Job and career notifications – if you grant this, we may email you when we believe a particular role or opportunity matches your profile. You may unsubscribe at any time, including via the unsubscribe link in any such email.
- Newsletter and industry updates – if you grant this, we may email you periodic updates on which industries and companies are growing or hiring. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Your public profile. Once your Ikshu CV Portal profile is reasonably complete, you receive a public profile URL of the form meculs.com/p/your-name. This is a feature of the service, not an optional consent – the URL exists by default. You can choose what information appears on your public profile (the portal lets you mark fields as “public” or “private”), and you can request deactivation of your public profile by contacting us.
5. Confidentiality (Coaching, Counselling, Meditation)
Everything shared in a MECULS coaching, counselling, or meditation session is held in complete confidence. We do not share session content with any third party – including employers, family members, or other organisations – without your explicit written consent, except where required by applicable law.
This commitment to confidentiality applies from the first conversation and is independent of any consent you grant under the Ikshu CV Portal – the two services are governed by different rules. Granting email-share consent for the CV Portal does not authorise us to share session content from coaching, counselling, or meditation engagements.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for the following specified, lawful purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry or message
- To deliver and manage coaching, counselling, or meditation sessions you have booked
- To process payments securely (for paid services)
- To maintain the Ikshu CV Portal service for registered users
- To act on the consents you have granted (connection service, job notifications, newsletters) – only if you have granted them, and only within the scope you agreed to
- To send session reminders or follow-up information where you have requested this
- To improve the quality of our services
- To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities
We do not use your information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
7. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With your explicit consent – specifically, if you have granted email-share consent under the Ikshu CV Portal, we may share your email address with up to 10 other registered professionals as described in Section 4. We do not share any other profile information without your further explicit consent.
- Service providers – payment processors (Razorpay, PayUBiz, PayPal), email providers (Brevo), authentication providers (Google), and hosting providers (Supabase) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-protection agreements
- Legal requirements – if required to do so by Indian law or in response to a valid legal process from a competent authority
8. Payments
For paid services (currently: coaching, counselling, executive search, and other MECULS services outside the CV Portal), MECULS accepts payments via Razorpay, PayUBiz, PayPal, Credit Card, and UPI. These payment services are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not store your card or payment credentials on our servers. All payment transactions are encrypted and processed securely by the payment provider.
The Ikshu CV Portal is currently a free service. If we introduce paid features in the future (such as tailored CV drafting or counselling sessions), we will publish clear pricing, accept your explicit consent before each transaction, and update the Refund Policy to cover those services.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Specifically:
- Active CV Portal accounts – data is retained while your account is active.
- Inactive CV Portal accounts (no login for 24 months) – data is moved to archive storage. Archived data is no longer used for connection matching, notifications, or any other active service. It is retained for record-keeping and to enable account reactivation if you return.
- Account deletion on your request – we will action your request within a reasonable period. Personal identifiers (name, email, photo, CV file) are removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate records may be retained.
- Coaching / counselling / meditation records – retained as required for our professional record-keeping obligations and for any duty of care that may extend beyond the engagement.
- Payment records – retained for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law.
To request deletion or archiving of your data, contact grievance@meculs.com.
10. Your Rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right to information – to know what personal data we hold about you, the purposes for which it is processed, and the identities of any third parties with whom it has been shared.
- Right to correction – to have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected. Most CV Portal data can be corrected directly by you in your profile; for other data, contact us.
- Right to erasure – to request deletion of your personal data, subject to lawful exceptions (such as data we are required to retain by tax law or for ongoing duty-of-care obligations).
- Right to grievance redressal – to raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see Section 13). If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Right of nomination – to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or legal incapacity.
- Right to withdraw consent – for any of the optional consents you granted, you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Withdrawing the email-share consent will stop further connection introductions but will not retract introductions already made.
To exercise any of these rights, contact grievance@meculs.com. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.
11. How to Withdraw Consent
The optional consents you grant for the Ikshu CV Portal can be withdrawn at any time:
- Email-share consent – through your CV Portal account settings (where available), or by emailing grievance@meculs.com. Withdrawal is processed within 7 working days.
- Job and career notifications – click the “unsubscribe” link in any such email, or update your account settings, or email us.
- Newsletter and industry updates – click the “unsubscribe” link in any such email, or update your account settings, or email us.
Withdrawing optional consents does not delete your account or your profile data. To delete your account entirely, see Section 9.
12. Cookies, Security, and Children
Cookies. meculs.com uses minimal cookies necessary for the website to function correctly (including authentication tokens for the Ikshu CV Portal). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Analytics data is used only in aggregate form to understand how visitors use the website.
Security. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Our website is served over HTTPS. The Ikshu CV Portal uses row-level security on our database so that each user can access only their own data. Payment data is processed by PCI-DSS compliant payment providers.
Children’s privacy. The Ikshu CV Portal is restricted to users aged 18 years and older – a confirmation we collect during registration. For other MECULS services where children may be involved (such as children’s development programmes), all personal information is collected from and managed by the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly process personal data of children below 18 except where the parent or guardian has consented and the processing serves the child’s welfare.
13. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the DPDP Act 2023 and the Information Technology Act 2000, the Grievance Officer for MECULS is:
The Grievance Officer will acknowledge any complaint within 48 hours and provide a substantive response within 30 days.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in law, our services, or how we process data. Any material changes will be communicated to registered Ikshu CV Portal users by email (to the address on file) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of meculs.com or the Ikshu CV Portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
