Privacy Policy

Effective date: This policy is current as of the date of your visit. Last reviewed: 2024.

Your privacy matters to us. MECULS collects only the information necessary to provide our services. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Where we do share – for example, when you use the Ikshu CV Portal’s connection service – we do so only with your explicit consent and only for the purposes you have agreed to.

1. Who We Are

MECULS is operated by Rajneesh Jain, based in Delhi, India. We provide leadership coaching, wellness counselling, meditation instruction, executive search, and the Ikshu CV Portal – a recruitment portal that connects professionals with each other and with hiring teams – through meculs.com and its sub-services.

For all privacy-related queries, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@meculs.com. Until that mailbox is active, please write to Jain.Rajneesh@meculs.com.

2. Legal Framework

This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India and the Information Technology Act, 2000 read with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

Under the DPDP Act:

3. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you provide it directly – for example, when you contact us, book a session, or register for the Ikshu CV Portal.

4. The Ikshu CV Portal — What We Collect and Why

The Ikshu CV Portal is a free service that lets you build a professional profile and, with your consent, be connected with other professionals. When you register for the Ikshu CV Portal, we collect five distinct consents from you, two required and three optional:

Required consents (you cannot register without these):

Optional consents (you decide whether to grant these):

Your public profile. Once your Ikshu CV Portal profile is reasonably complete, you receive a public profile URL of the form meculs.com/p/your-name. This is a feature of the service, not an optional consent – the URL exists by default. You can choose what information appears on your public profile (the portal lets you mark fields as “public” or “private”), and you can request deactivation of your public profile by contacting us.

5. Confidentiality (Coaching, Counselling, Meditation)

Everything shared in a MECULS coaching, counselling, or meditation session is held in complete confidence. We do not share session content with any third party – including employers, family members, or other organisations – without your explicit written consent, except where required by applicable law.

This commitment to confidentiality applies from the first conversation and is independent of any consent you grant under the Ikshu CV Portal – the two services are governed by different rules. Granting email-share consent for the CV Portal does not authorise us to share session content from coaching, counselling, or meditation engagements.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for the following specified, lawful purposes:

We do not use your information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

7. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

8. Payments

For paid services (currently: coaching, counselling, executive search, and other MECULS services outside the CV Portal), MECULS accepts payments via Razorpay, PayUBiz, PayPal, Credit Card, and UPI. These payment services are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not store your card or payment credentials on our servers. All payment transactions are encrypted and processed securely by the payment provider.

The Ikshu CV Portal is currently a free service. If we introduce paid features in the future (such as tailored CV drafting or counselling sessions), we will publish clear pricing, accept your explicit consent before each transaction, and update the Refund Policy to cover those services.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Specifically:

To request deletion or archiving of your data, contact grievance@meculs.com.

10. Your Rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact grievance@meculs.com. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.

11. How to Withdraw Consent

The optional consents you grant for the Ikshu CV Portal can be withdrawn at any time:

Withdrawing optional consents does not delete your account or your profile data. To delete your account entirely, see Section 9.

12. Cookies, Security, and Children

Cookies. meculs.com uses minimal cookies necessary for the website to function correctly (including authentication tokens for the Ikshu CV Portal). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Analytics data is used only in aggregate form to understand how visitors use the website.

Security. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Our website is served over HTTPS. The Ikshu CV Portal uses row-level security on our database so that each user can access only their own data. Payment data is processed by PCI-DSS compliant payment providers.

Children’s privacy. The Ikshu CV Portal is restricted to users aged 18 years and older – a confirmation we collect during registration. For other MECULS services where children may be involved (such as children’s development programmes), all personal information is collected from and managed by the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly process personal data of children below 18 except where the parent or guardian has consented and the processing serves the child’s welfare.

13. Grievance Officer

In compliance with the DPDP Act 2023 and the Information Technology Act 2000, the Grievance Officer for MECULS is:

Rajneesh Jain, Founder – MECULS

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in law, our services, or how we process data. Any material changes will be communicated to registered Ikshu CV Portal users by email (to the address on file) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of meculs.com or the Ikshu CV Portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
